“Diaphanous” by R. Thomas Reilly and Roy C. Booth

Hello fellow Addicts,

Diaphanous

This week’s book is one sure to get you feeling creepy crawly by the end of reading it.  It is “Diaphanous” by  Roy C. Booth and R. Thomas Reilly.

Loretta and her son, Gavin, are doing the best they can to carry on with their lives after the sudden disappearance of her husband, Mitchell.  The police are unhelpful and the only other person to share her belief that Mitchell didn’t abandon them is his brother, Ted.   When strange things begin to happen involving Gavin, a terrifying truth is revealed and the question of what happened to Mitchell is answered.

This story was an interesting one to read.  It’s short, about novella length, and really had a good flow about it.  It is also the first book in a planned series, one that I definitely plan on reading.  It’s hard to give much detail on this story without going into spoiler territory, but, rest assured, this is a very enjoyable story.  I give Diaphanous a 4 out of 5 rating.
