Well, like most of us who have the delusion of being writers, I’ve been telling stories of all kinds since I was a kid. I’ve been a published author with various small presses around North America and the UK for about 10 years now and as of yet no one has come to take me away. So onward I go! Good Horror storytelling is characters saying the right thing and doing the right thing at the right time in the story. I’ve always responded to that trigger or emphasis as a reader or viewer. Horror is unique in its ability to deal with both complex themes and primary motivations (fear, panic, loss, revenge etc). My pieces in the collection try to place the themes of horror in context, with both serious and humorous analysis. Hopefully, I communicate why I, and so many of us, love horror and the rush of excitement and anticipation it brings to our lives. It’s the only addiction that’s good for you!
