Live Action Reviews! by Crystal Connor: The Silence

Review of: The Silence

Plotline: When the world is under attack from creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, a teenager who lost her hearing at 13, and her family, seek safety in a remote refuge. However, they discover a cult who are eager to exploit her heightened senses.

Who would like it: Fans of the Zombie genre, people who love apocalyptic and survival films, monster fans, and those who like movies about the end of the world.

High Points: I really loved the fast pace in which this movie moved, and I especially loved the subplot dealing with the religious cult.

Complaints: N/A

Overall: I think this book was marketed to a YA audience but this film will appeal to everyone.

Stars: 3 1/2

Where I watched it: Netflix

Master Imaginationist and Instagram photographer Crystal Connor is the Chief Imagineer working for the Department of Sleep Prevention’s Nightmare Division. A Washington State native she loves anything to do with monsters, bad guys (as in evil-geniuses & super-villains.  Not ‘those’ kind her mother warned her about), rogue scientific experiments, jewelry, sky-high high-heeled shoes & unreasonably priced handbags.

When she’s not terrorizing her fans and racking up frequent flyers miles by gallivanting all over the country attending fan conventions and writer’s conferences she reviews indie horror and science fiction films for both her personal blog and HorrorAddicts.net

She is also considering changing her professional title to dramatization specialist because it is so much more theatrical than being a mere drama queen.
